Tennessee lawmakers passed the "Tennessee Excellence, Accountability and Management Act of 2012" in May, and includes changes in the way unemployment benefits are handled.
One part of the law affects how job searches are tracked, and another has to do with turning down jobs by those who are receiving unemployment benefits.
I talked with Jeff Hentschel, who is with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development about the changes.
