Hi! If you've found this page, you've obviously spent some time on our website, so thanks for visiting!
This is where I'll post different things I find interesting during the day (and possibly night). I figure it'll take me a few days to get the hang of this, so in the meantime, have a Sudoku puzzle or something else handy.
Feel free to follow me on Twitter and Facebook, or drop me a line, unless it's a complaint, in which those should be kept in your "drafts" folder. Just kidding. Sort of.
This is also the place I'll post odd links I run across, and things I simply didn't have time to do on the air. (This could be everything from the story behind the story, "news of the weird" or a link for a great online shoe sale. One never knows.)
Tennessee lawmakers passed the "Tennessee Excellence, Accountability and Management Act of 2012" in May, and includes changes in the way unemployment benefits are handled.
One part of the law affects how job searches are tracked, and another has to do with turning down jobs by those who are receiving unemployment benefits.
I talked with Jeff Hentschel, who is with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development about the changes.
