Subject: memphis scumbag politicans
Hello Mike:
Although I live in Jackson, Tn. I listen to your talk show daily. I am glad
you put King Taterhead Willie and all the other sorry polticans on the chopiong block. Its a great day in Tennessee to see these low lifes in handcuffs. There is no outlet in Jackson such as your program but Madison
County is probably equally as corrupt as Memphis on a smalled scale. Since no outlet exist I recently created a website to address some of the bs. I have your station as one of my links. When I created it last month I devoted an entire page on the Ford family..titled above the law....check it out and if you have time let me know how you like it. I am trying to get it out to the public. thanks and keep up your outstanding program ----- Subject: WHERE ARE THE BODIES BURIED?
Dear Mike;
If you paid attention to the governors press conference, you probably noticed that Jimmy Neifeh had a look on his face like he had just swallowed a bug. Why? That should be obvious. John Ford has been on the hill long enough to know where the skeletons are burried. Lots of them!
What is worse for the boys on the hill is that John Ford is without a doubt among the most vendictive politicians I believe I have ever heard of. When he starts to go down, I fully expect and predict that he will start swinging wildly in a fit of rage and anger! If there is any information which will reduce his jail time or possible sentence by one hour, he will spill it.
So keep your pencil sharpened Mike! The story hasn't even yet begun! We may even find Jimmy Hoffa before it is all over!

----- Subject: It's about time they got John!
Mike:
All I have to say is it's about time John Ford got indicted for his crooked shananigans. Threating an FBI agent? How dumb can you get? Gee his ex-wife and all his lady friends might actually have to get out and get a job now that their sugar daddy 's money may not be coming in anymore...Boo! hoo! What goes around comes around!

Subject: John Ford Indictment (MAKE A CHANGE TO YOUR BUMPER SONG)
Mike,
Kudos to the Feds, Finally someone was strong enough to stand up to Thee John Ford. Since our local Gov. was too intimidated to do anything about him. I think in light of the events of today you should change your bumper
song to O' Happy Day. Thanks, Rick in memphis -----
Subject: John Ford
If Ford can't get an attorney tonight, he will have a court appointed attorney. Can you believe this? No one evidentaly wants to represent him on the federal charges. Wonder why? He told the judge he couldn't afford an attorney. Maybe his girlfriends and exwives could sell those fancy cars and fine homes to raise his defense money. Or maybe the bleeding heart liberals could start a public drive to raise the money. What a guy. Only in Shelby county!

Subject: Sorry, but this is what is going to happen
Maybe I am being pessimistic, but I believe that the prosecutors and Judges will forget that trials are supposed to be fair for both sides and allow any trial for John Ford, Bowers and Dixon to take place in Memphis.
You have a better chance of winning the lottery without even buying a ticket than the government has of getting a fair trial in Memphis if the defendant is a Ford. It only takes 1 person to believe he is being persecuted because he is a Ford, black, or whatever to tie up a jury.
If I remember correctly this is the place where even one of the jurors in Harold Ford Sr's trial donated to his defense fund.
I hope I will be proven wrong.

Subject: Excellent Show
Thanks Mike!
I have laughed all afternoon. You have done an excellent job with this.
Rich and I want "Tennessee Waltz" ringtones for our cell phones! There is another song that comes to mind with this wonderful news. It was recorded at STAX by Don Nix. It is entitled "Goin' Down".

Don't you think it odd that every time something happens, Willie Wilbur is out of town. I would imagine that Willie Wilbur had the sudden urge to visit the potty because of a nervous stomach early this morning. Gale where is my imodium AD?

Subject: A Democrat's view of todays events......
Mike,
I was sitting in my living room this morning watching tv when this news of the arrests of Ford and company broke into regular programming, and YOU were the first person that came to my (and my boss's for that matter, which i found out when I got to work, he said, "Man, I cannot WAIT to listen to 600 tonight, talking about your show).
Although I am a Democrat, I am a long time listener and love your show, and I am for justice, whether you are Democrat, Republican, Red, Blue, Yellow, or Green. Although I am dissappointed in my fellow Democrats, i can say I am not suprised. Everyone should have seen this coming. Boy, I have a feeling that they are fixing to REALLY stick it to Mr. Ford. I am looking foward to your colorful coverage of this story, you will be my MAIN source of information for this story.
I do have one question for you though, are you not slightly embarassed for the State of Tennessee? What a present from "Uncle John" to Harold Ford Jr. for announcing that he is running for the Senate!!! Finally, to your knowledge, has any of the national media picked up on this story YET?
Thanks,
Chris

Dear Mike,
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I heard a Tennessee State Senator on TV saying that today is a sad day for all Tennesseans. I wanted to puke. I was thinking how happy I was and that all of Tennessee should be celebrating. After all, CROOKS were caught. Did this idiot mean that when someone such as John Ford or Katherine Bowers gets caught that Tennesseans should be sad and happy if they never get caught and continue on in their criminal activity? Until I just heard you say how you would celebrate, I thought I was the only one who was happy.

----- Subject: JOHN FORD
Importance: High I am a resident of Memphis and I can tell you why John Ford keeps getting elected. The black population in Memphis (proper) is the majority. John Ford is a black man. These folks don't look at what he does or does not do. They look at the color of his skin. All they see is that a black man is trying to "better" himself and is being brought down. He has registered his residence as his funeral home business. This funeral home is in a predominantly black community. Apparently he sleeps in his caskets?????
The 2 households that he keeps with his 2 families are in communities that are made up of a mix of all races that want better for them and their families. They are hard working people who do not believe in the garbage that is going on with Ford. If Ford would register in either one of the districts he keeps house in he would lose. Plain and simple. These folks wouldn't stand for it black or white. Unfortunately the race card will be played because in Memphis that is the only way folks know how to play.

Subject: ITS A CONSPIRACY! Dear Mike;
I knew that John Ford's constituents would insist that it was just a conspiracy to bring down black leaders in Tennessee when I heard this break on 600WREC radio while making a sales call in Covington. I got home, and before I even got logged on I heard that exact comment from a constituent interviewed on News Channel 3 during the 5:00 edition.
Here is my second political prediction of the week. This will scuttle Juniors (Harold Ford Jr's) senate campaign before it even gets started. HOWEVER! I predict that Junior will receive 80% +/- 2% points in his bid for congress as the "conspiracy" theory rallies the troops around Junior next year.
Jon in Horn Lake
P.S.
I have a better average than Jimmy the Greek in making predictions! I am running pretty close on my predictions.
Just call me "Yankee Jon!"
Last August I predicted President Bush would win with 52% (Missed by 1/2 % point!)
Predicted Herenton would win re-election last time with 72%
Predicted my Mayor Mike Thomas would take less than 12% of the vote in Horn Lake last month (He got 8)
Predicted 49 states correctly in the last Presidential election. (Missed only Colorado, which I really wasn't sure about)
----- Subject: Great news today However
1. I forget the exact details last time something like this happened to our elected officials. However, I remember the news media carrying the crying & pleading request that they needed money & they were setting up a defense fund and asked for contributions to help him out. This has happened more than once. Sometimes it is only known to the black churches but these scum bags have the obdasidy to ask their voters living in the projects to contribute to their defense!
2. If & when these fine elected officials get to change out of their orange jump suits they will have the paper work & forms filed to get their voting rights restored, like the Washington DC mayor. With the voting rights restored they can now run for office & they will be right back in because the ones that have elected them in the first place wouldn't think twice to put the poor folks back into an office!

Mike,
Caught your show yesterday 05/26. Wow! Loved that introduction. ("Tennessee
Waltz") I have read the articles of the indictments and all I can say is thank you. Even though the FBI had an ongoing investigation, you deserve a lot of credit for keeping the seemingly endless list of alleged corruption and immorality, of Sen. John Ford, in the forefront of current events. Sooner or later these people (politicians) like Ford, Clinton and others, have got to learn that they either play by the rules or get "stung" by the very rules they were entrusted to uphold. Keep up the good work.

----- Subject: John Ford and others
I wonder if the FBI would consider coming to Memphis and setting up a sting operation here. I am sure there would be more than 6 or 7 they could arrest. As to John Ford, he finally is going to get his dues. Threatening to kill someone if they told on him for accepting a bribe. Who does this maniac think he is? And as for Phil Bredeson saying it is a sad day for Tennessee. It is not a sad day. People should be dancing in the streets.

Mike, This sting operation started 2 years ago, long before the revelations about Ford's Tenncare shenanigans. My question is - what caused the FBI to choose OUR legislature for a sting operation? Is it possible that the corruption goes deeper than these 4 midlevel legislators? Dennis
